Riddick Stadium

Riddick Stadium (opened 1907, closed 1965) is a former college football stadium, home to the North Carolina State University Wolfpack football team. When the stadium was first opened it was referred to as "New Athletic Park". Later it was named Riddick Field and then Riddick Stadium, after W. C. Riddick, N.C. State football coach during the 1898-1899 seasons. The Wolfpack baseball team also played its home games in the stadium prior to moving to Doak Field.

Cameron Village

Cameron Village was the first planned community to be developed in Raleigh, North Carolina. Development was started in 1947 when J.W. York and R. A Bryan bought 158 acres (0.64 km2) of undeveloped land two miles west of downtown Raleigh, near the North Carolina State University campus. The "village" was to consist of a shopping center, apartments, and single family homes. The shopping center opened in 1949, and quickly became the premier shopping area in Raleigh.

Thompson Gym

Thompson Gym, built in 1925, was the indoor arena of North Carolina State University until Reynolds Coliseum opened in 1949. The facility hosted mainly basketball games, including the Southern Conference men's basketball tournament from 1933 to 1946. Reynolds Coliseum has since been replaced by the RBC Center. The building has since been converted to a theater seating 250 people. It was named for Frank Martin Thompson, an NCSU athlete killed in World War I.
