Morrisville, North Carolina
Morrisville is a town in Wake County, North Carolina, United States. A small portion of the town extends into Durham County. The population was 18,576 at the 2010 census. Morrisville is part of the Research Triangle metropolitan region. The regional name originated after the 1959 creation of the Research Triangle Park, located midway between the cities of Raleigh and Durham. The Research Triangle region encompasses the U.S. Census Bureau's Combined Statistical Area (CSA) of Raleigh-Durham-Cary.
Green Level, Wake County, North Carolina
Green Level is an unincorporated community near the town of Cary in southwestern Wake County, North Carolina, United States. Originally founded around 1800, Green Level is one of the oldest surviving crossroads communities in the Raleigh area. Although historically connected to the town of Apex, Green Level now lies within the municipal jurisdiction of the rapidly expanding town of Cary. The core of the community has been designated the Green Level Historic District in 2001.
Carpenter, North Carolina
Carpenter is a small community located in western Wake County, North Carolina. Carpenter is centered around the intersection of Carpenter-Upchurch Road and Morrisville-Carpenter Road just east of North Carolina Highway 55. Most of Carpenter has been annexed by the Town of Cary. The community was named for William Carpenter, the first settler in the area in 1865 {{#invoke:Footnotes | harvard_citation }}. Carpenter was a stop on the former Durham and Southern Railway.
Green Hope High School
Green Hope High School is a school in Cary, North Carolina, serving grades 9-12. In 2006, approximately 2,144 students attended according to the WCPSS page, and with a 95% graduation rate, about 530 seniors graduated. The school consistently has large amounts of students that attend universities like NC State, Duke, and UNC Chapel Hill as well as Ivy League schools. It was ranked as the 206th best high school according to the 2011 Newsweek Rankings of Top US High Schools.
Panther Creek High School (North Carolina)
Panther Creek High School (PCHS) is located in Cary, North Carolina in the United States. It is part of the Wake County Public School System and, like other public high schools in the region, is on a 4x4 block schedule. Panther Creek was established in 2006. Its first graduating class was the Class of 2009. As of the 2009-2010 school year Panther Creek had an enrollment of 2,239 students.
USA Baseball National Training Complex
The USA Baseball National Training Complex is located in western Cary, North Carolina, off of Green Hope School Road. The Town of Cary was selected to be the new home of USA Baseball in 2002. It is home to the St. Augustine's College Falcons baseball teams and was also the home of the North Carolina Tar Heels in 2008. Every June it hosts the annual Tournament of Stars, which features the top high-school talent in the nation.
