Charlotte Motor Speedway
Charlotte Motor Speedway is a motorsports complex located in Concord, North Carolina, United States 13 miles from Charlotte, North Carolina. The complex features a 1.5 miles quad oval track that hosts NASCAR racing including the prestigious Coca-Cola 600 on Memorial Day weekend and the Sprint All-Star Race, as well as the Bank of America 500. The speedway was built in 1959 by Bruton Smith and is considered the home track for NASCAR with many race teams located in the Charlotte area.
WTVI
WTVI is a Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) member public television station based in Charlotte, North Carolina. The station broadcasts on digital channel 11. The Irwin Belk Track and Field Center/Transamerica Field is a stadium located on the campus of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. The facility includes the Southeast's first 8 lane continuous radius track with full-depth polyurethane surface; and 10,500 square feet of internal space including coaches offices, locker rooms and a hospitality suite in the North Pavilion.

WFAE is a National Public Radio station in Charlotte, North Carolina broadcasting at 90.7 MHz on the FM dial. The station went on the air on June 29, 1981 on 90.9 FM as a service of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, taking over from a student-run carrier current station that had begun operation in the mid-1970s. It operated from the basement of the Cone University Center. In addition to NPR programs, it aired jazz during the day and classical music at night.

The Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre is an outdoor amphitheater in Charlotte, North Carolina that specializes in hosting large concerts. The facility originally opened as the Blockbuster Pavilion in 1991 and largely replaced the Paladium Amphitheater at Carowinds as the premier outdoor concert venue in the Metrolina region. It was renamed on February 8, 2001. The amphitheater is located on Pavilion Boulevard in the University City neighborhood near the US 29/I-485 (Outerbelt) interchange.

McColl–Richardson Field
McColl–Richardson Field is a college football stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina. It is the future home stadium of the 49ers football team representing the University of North Carolina at Charlotte (UNC Charlotte). Proposed by the university's chancellor in 2008, the stadium was approved by the school's Board of Trustees, the Board of Governors for the University of North Carolina, and North Carolina Governor Bev Perdue before officially beginning construction in April 2011.
