Bank of America Stadium
Bank of America Stadium (formerly known as Carolinas Stadium and Ericsson Stadium) is a 73,778-seat football stadium located on 33 acres of land in uptown Charlotte, North Carolina, USA. It is the home facility of the Carolina Panthers NFL franchise. It also hosts the annual Belk Bowl, which features teams from the Atlantic Coast Conference and the Big East, and the annual ACC Championship Game through 2013.

Battle of Charlotte
The Battle of Charlotte was an American Revolutionary War battle fought in Charlotte, North Carolina on September 26, 1780. The battle took place at the Mecklenburg County Court House, which is now the site of the Bank of America tower at Trade and Tryon Streets in downtown Charlotte. An advance guard of General Charles Cornwallis' army rode into town and encountered a well-prepared Patriot militia under the command of William R. Davie in front of the court house.

Hines Interestspurchased what was then called the BB&T Building in December 1998 and began a renovation process that added an additional floor which was completed in 2001. and in the process was upgraded to contain all Class B office space.
112 Tryon Plaza
112 Tryon Plaza is a 280 ft 22-story skyscraper in Charlotte, North Carolina. It was the second tallest building in North Carolina when completed in 1927, and the tallest building in Charlotte for about 35 more years. It is currently the 21st tallest building in the city. Located on "The Square" at the corner of Trade St. and Tryon St. adjacent to a pocket park, this building has a premiere location in Uptown Charlotte, also known as Charlotte center city.
Gateway Station (Charlotte, North Carolina)

Vance High School
Zebulon B. Vance High School, or more commonly Vance High School, is a high school located in Charlotte, North Carolina. It is part of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg School System and was opened in 1997. The sports teams are known as the Cougars. Besides providing the standard state-mandated high school curriculum, the school also hosts the Vance Academy of Engineering, which provides students with an interest in a future career in engineering with advanced training.

Catalyst is a 27-story 462-unit condominium and apartment building on South Church Street in Charlotte, North Carolina. The concrete and glass skyscraper in Third Ward, designed by Smallwood, Reynolds, Stewart, Stewart, was built by Atlanta-based Novare Group and completed in 2009.
440 South Church
440 South Church is a 15-story skyscraper in Charlotte, North Carolina with 363,000 square feet of space. Smallwood, Reynolds, Stewart, Stewart & Associates designed the building, and Bovis Lend Lease was the general contractor. Major tenants are GMAC Financial Services and HDR. It was built according to LEED gold standards, making it a green building.
Bechtler Museum of Modern Art
The Bechtler Museum of Modern Art in Charlotte, North Carolina is a 36,500 sq. ft. museum space dedicated to the exhibition of mid-20th-century modern art. The modern art collection is part of the new Levine Center for the Arts. The museum building was designed by architect Mario Botta.
The Green (Charlotte, North Carolina)
The Green is a one and a half acre park at 400 South Tryon Street in uptown Charlotte, North Carolina. At one end of this so-called pocket park are the Mint Museum and the Bechtler Museum of Modern Art; at the other end is the Charlotte Convention Center. Next to it stands Charlotte's historic St. Peter's Catholic Church. The Green is the site of various public events, such as movie screenings and free plays, including summer performances by the Charlotte Shakespeare Festival.

Old Settlers' Cemetery (Charlotte, North Carolina)

St. Peter's Catholic Church is a Roman Catholic church at 507 South Tryon Street in Charlotte, North Carolina. It was established in 1851 and is the oldest Catholic church in Charlotte. Until 1940 it was the only Catholic church in the city. Originally St. Peter's was at the extreme southern limits of the city, but today it stands in the heart of uptown, across from major art museums and next to The Green. It is most likely the oldest surviving edifice on Tryon Street.

Irwin Creek Greenway
Irwin Creek Greenway is a linear park and stream restoration project in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina. There are about 37 miles of developed greenways in Mecklenburg County, of which this is only one. Approximately 2.90 miles of the Irwin-Stewart Creek corridors have developed greenways. The urban part of the system runs through Frazier Park, connecting the Wesley Heights neighborhood to Charlotte's Third Ward.
Thomas Polk
Thomas Polk (c. 1732–January 25, 1794) was a planter, military officer in the Continental Army during the American Revolutionary War from 1775 to 1781, and a politician who served in the North Carolina House of Commons, North Carolina Provincial Congress, and Council of State. Polk commanded the 4th North Carolina Regiment in the Battle of Brandywine. In 1786, Polk was elected by the North Carolina General Assembly to the Congress of the Confederation, but did not attend any of its sessions.
