Biddleville (Charlotte neighborhood)

Biddleville is the oldest surviving predominantly African-American neighborhood in Charlotte, North Carolina. It is located one mile west of Uptown and Interstate 77 along Beatties Ford Road. Biddleville is home to Johnson C. St. Peter's Catholic Church (Charlotte, North Carolina)

St. Peter's Catholic Church is a Roman Catholic church at 507 South Tryon Street in Charlotte, North Carolina. It was established in 1851 and is the oldest Catholic church in Charlotte. Until 1940 it was the only Catholic church in the city. Originally St. Peter's was at the extreme southern limits of the city, but today it stands in the heart of uptown, across from major art museums and next to The Green. It is most likely the oldest surviving edifice on Tryon Street.
