Wing Haven Gardens and Bird Sanctuary (3 acres) are non-profit gardens and a bird sanctuary located at 248 Ridgewood Avenue, Charlotte, North Carolina. They are open several hours a week, year-round; admission is by donation ($5 recommended for adults). The garden was begun in 1927 by Elizabeth and Edwin Clarkson around their house. In 1970 they donated it to the Wing Haven Foundation. The Clarksons remained in the home until 1988.

Starmount (Charlotte neighborhood)
Starmount is a residential neighborhood in the South Charlotte (South Boulevard at Arrowood and Archdale) area. Starmount was constructed during the early 1960s by Ervin Construction Company. Phase one of construction took place primarily from Starbrook Drive south to Sherbourne then spread north towards Archdale Drive at Phase two. Starmount homes were built to last using true pine 2 x 4s, hardwood floors and brick construction. 1,200-1,500 sq.
Sedgefield (Charlotte neighborhood)
Sedgefield is a neighborhood of Charlotte, North Carolina, USA, just south of Dilworth. Many of the homes there have been renovated, and it is a popular area for young professionals. It is located between Park Rd and South Blvd. Property values have been increasing faster than average due to the development along South Blvd. There are many condo projects underway along its west side, spurred by the completion of the LYNX blue line of the Charlotte Light Rail.
Calvin Griffith Park
Clark Griffith Park was a stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina, located at 400 Magnolia Avenue in the Dilworth section of town. The park opened in 1940 and held as many as 5,000 people in a covered grandstand which extended from first base to third base. It was primarily used for baseball, and served as the home field for the Charlotte Hornets, the farm team for the Washington Senators and Minnesota Twins from the 1940s to 1971, and the Charlotte Orioles from 1976 to 1985.

Huntingtowne Farms Park (Charlotte, North Carolina)
