The Charlotte Research Institute (CRI) is a partnership between the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and corporations in the region. The goal of CRI is to develop technology-based academic and business partnerships, ranging from consultation to onsite collaborative research. Irwin Belk Track and Field Center/Transamerica Field
The Irwin Belk Track and Field Center/Transamerica Field is a stadium located on the campus of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Finished in 1996, the stadium is home to the 49ers soccer and track and field teams. The facility includes the Southeast's first 8 lane continuous radius track with full-depth polyurethane surface; and 10,500 square feet of internal space including coaches offices, locker rooms and a hospitality suite in the North Pavilion.
Garinger High School
Garinger High School (or simply, Garinger) is a high school located in the Shamrock area of Charlotte, North Carolina. Founded in 1959, it was one of the oldest remaining schools in Charlotte. Garinger was in essence the relocation of Central High School, Charlotte's first high school. That school was founded in 1909 as Charlotte High School and renamed Central High in 1923.

Derita (Charlotte neighborhood)
The Derita Community is located several miles north of Charlotte NC's center city, is bordered by I-77 to the west, I-85 to the east, the University area and WT Harris Blvd to the north. Its business district is centered along West Sugar Creek Rd. Even before the Community became established with stores, a school and churches in 1860, Derita was a made up of large family farms carved from the forests and fields where the Sugaree Indians had made flint arrowheads and hunted for wild game.
North Charlotte (Charlotte neighborhood)

New Life Theological Seminary
New Life Theological Seminary is an evangelical Christian seminary in Charlotte, North Carolina, United States. The Seminary was established in 1996 by Eddie G. Grigg, a pastor, educator, and theologian. The Seminary was approved as a degree granting institution in 1997. Grigg holds an honorary doctorate awarded by New Life Theological Seminary.
McColl–Richardson Field
McColl–Richardson Field is a college football stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina. It is the future home stadium of the 49ers football team representing the University of North Carolina at Charlotte (UNC Charlotte). Proposed by the university's chancellor in 2008, the stadium was approved by the school's Board of Trustees, the Board of Governors for the University of North Carolina, and North Carolina Governor Bev Perdue before officially beginning construction in April 2011.

Reedy Creek Park is a 125 acre urban park at 2900 Rocky River Road in the Newell section of Charlotte, North Carolina. Adjacent to the park is a 737 acre nature preserve. The main park contains courts and fields for basketball, softball, tennis, soccer, horseshoes, cricket, and volleyball. There are indoor and outdoor picnic facilities, extensive benches, playgrounds, a disc golf course, a dog park, a community garden, several ponds, and a lakeside fishing pier.
Carolina Actors Studio Theatre
Carolina Actors Studio Theatre (CAST) is an independent non-profit theatre company located at 2424 North Davidson Street in Charlotte, North Carolina. It was founded in 1992 by Charlotte acting instructor Ed Gilweit as an actor's teaching school. In 2000 Gilweit's company partnered with a video and stage production company run by Michael Simmons called Victory Pictures, Inc.
Eastway Park (Charlotte, North Carolina)

Briarwood Park is a thirty-three acre urban park at 5349 Waterwood Street in Charlotte, North Carolina and is right next to the somewhat larger Eastway Park. It features benches, tables and grills for picnicking, several softball fields, and a playground. The park is directly adjacent to Briarwood Elementary School. All games of Brown's Athletic League, a coed adult softball league, are held in Briarwood Park.
