Trade and Tryon
The intersection of Trade and Tryon streets is the crossroads of Uptown Charlotte, North Carolina; it marks the city center and divides the city's first four wards. Locally referred to as simply The Square, this originated as the crossroads for a pair of native American trails. From this location, the city was founded and expanded. Tryon Street runs northeast-southwest, while Trade Street runs southeast-northwest.

Charlotte center city (also known as Uptown or Downtown) is the central area of Charlotte, North Carolina. The headquarters for the Fortune 500 companies Bank of America and Duke Energy are located here, as well as the headquarters for East Coast operations for Wells Fargo. Museums, sporting venues, shops, hotels, restaurants, and bars are heavily concentrated in the city center.
Hearst Tower (Charlotte)
The Hearst Tower in Charlotte, North Carolina is a 47-story skyscraper along North Tryon Street that rises 659 feet (201 m) in height. It opened on 14 November 2002 and is the 4th-tallest building in Charlotte. The 32-story tower rests atop a 15-floor podium. Located within the podium is a three-story, 180,000-square-foot trading floor designed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill and operated by Bank of America. The building is currently owned by Parkway Properties, Inc.
North Carolina Blumenthal Performing Arts Center
Blumenthal Performing Arts (also NC Blumenthal Center and NCBPAC) is located in Charlotte, North Carolina. It opened in 1992 and is named in honor of the people of the state of North Carolina and the Blumenthal Foundation established by I.D. Blumenthal who founded RSC Brands, the largest private donor to the capital campaign. The idea for the center dates back to the late 1970s.
Battle of Charlotte
The Battle of Charlotte was an American Revolutionary War battle fought in Charlotte, North Carolina on September 26, 1780. The battle took place at the Mecklenburg County Court House, which is now the site of the Bank of America tower at Trade and Tryon Streets in downtown Charlotte. An advance guard of General Charles Cornwallis' army rode into town and encountered a well-prepared Patriot militia under the command of William R. Davie in front of the court house.
Tryon Street
Tryon Street is a major north-south street of Charlotte, North Carolina. It traverses through the center of Uptown Charlotte and is the address for some of the city's tallest buildings like the Bank of America Corporate Center and Hearst Tower. U.S. Route 29 and North Carolina Highway 49 are signed along portions of Tryon Street (although they both deviate onto Graham Street through Uptown).

200 South Tryon
200 South Tryon is a 299 feet tall skyscraper in Charlotte, North Carolina. It was completed in 1961 and has 18 floors. It is the 19th tallest building in the city. Gerald D. Hines Interestspurchased what was then called the BB&T Building in December 1998 and began a renovation process that added an additional floor which was completed in 2001. and in the process was upgraded to contain all Class B office space.
112 Tryon Plaza
112 Tryon Plaza is a 280 ft 22-story skyscraper in Charlotte, North Carolina. It was the second tallest building in North Carolina when completed in 1927, and the tallest building in Charlotte for about 35 more years. It is currently the 21st tallest building in the city. Located on "The Square" at the corner of Trade St. and Tryon St. adjacent to a pocket park, this building has a premiere location in Uptown Charlotte, also known as Charlotte center city.
Midtown Plaza (Charlotte, North Carolina)
The Johnston Building (now called Midtown Plaza) is a 17-story skyscraper in Charlotte, North Carolina with an approximate height of 81m. The building's official height has never been released. Originally 15 stories when completed in 1924, it was the tallest building in Charlotte until 1926.
South Tryon Square
South Tryon Square is an office and retail building in Charlotte, North Carolina located at 201 and 237 South Tryon Street. Incorporating the 14-story former Barclays American building built in 1961, it has 236,697 square feet of office and retail space and a 698-space parking deck. It includes gray and green granite and green glass with ornamental metal.
