Belmont is a small suburban city in Gaston County, North Carolina, United States, located about 15 miles west of uptown Charlotte and 9 miles east of Gastonia. The population was 10,076 at the 2010 census. Once known as Garibaldi, the city is named in honor of August Belmont, a prominent New York banker. Belmont is home to Belmont Abbey College.

Charlotte Coliseum

The Charlotte Coliseum was a multi-purpose sports and entertainment arena in Charlotte, North Carolina.
