Davidson, North Carolina
Davidson is a lakeside town on Lake Norman in northern Mecklenburg County in the U.S. state of North Carolina. The population was 10,944 at the 2010 census. It is home to Davidson College. The town is centered around the college from which it takes its name. The town was founded in 1837 with the establishment of the Presbyterian Davidson College, named for Brigadier General William Lee Davidson, a local Revolutionary War hero in Mecklenburg County.

Davidson College is a private liberal arts college in Davidson, North Carolina. The college has graduated 23 Rhodes Scholars. In the past decade, Davidson has consistently been ranked in the top ten best liberal arts colleges in the country by U.S. News and World Report magazine. In 2012, Davidson was ranked the 3rd most rigorous school in the United States by Newsweek. Both the town and college were named after Brigadier General William Lee Davidson, a Revolutionary War commander.
John M. Belk Arena
John M. Belk Arena is a 5,223-seat multi-purpose arena, located on the campus of Davidson College, in Davidson, North Carolina, United States. It is named for Davidson alumnus and benafactor John M. Belk (1920–2007), class of 1943. As part of the Baker Sports Complex, it is home to the Davidson Wildcats men's and women's basketball teams and the women's volleyball team. Bob Dylan performed at the arena during his 2006 North American Tour on May 2, 2006.
Woodlawn School (Mooresville, North Carolina)
Woodlawn School is a private independent school located just north of Davidson, North Carolina. Founded in 2002, it currently has over 200 students in grades K through 12. The current Head of School is Angela McKenzie, who joined Woodlawn's staff in 2006 and was appointed Head in 2008. Woodlawn is an accredited member of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and the Southern Association of Independent Schools.
Davidson College Arboretum
Davidson College Arboretum (100 acres) is an arboretum located across the main campus of Davidson College in Davidson, North Carolina. It is open to the public daily without charge. The arboretum's origins stretch as far back as 1869 when a Report of the Faculty to the trustees recommended making the campus "represent in time the forest growth of the State, and if possible, the general botany of the region". The campus became a formal arboretum in 1982.
Richardson Stadium
Richardson Stadium is a 6,000-seat multi-purpose stadium in Davidson, North Carolina. It is home to the Davidson College Wildcats football and track and field teams. The stadium incorporates both Stephen B. Smith Field and Irwin Belk Track. It has also hosted the NCAA Men's Soccer Championship on three occasions from 1992-1994.

Davidson IB Middle School, or Davidson International Baccalaureate Middle School, also simply known as DIB, is a middle school in Davidson, North Carolina. It is part of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools system. The school has between 200-250 students in any given school year and has received the NC School of Excellence and the Magnet Schools of America designations. The school has offered the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Program since its creation in 1995.
T. Henry Wilson, Jr. Field
T. Henry Wilson, Jr. Field is a baseball venue located in Davidson, North Carolina, USA. It is home to the Davidson Wildcats baseball team, a member of the Division I Southern Conference. It has a capacity of 700 spectators. The field opened in 1967 as Wildcat Park, with the first game being held on March 19, 1967. On March 19, 2005, the venue was renamed after T. Henry Wilson, Jr. , class of 1951.
