Welcome, North Carolina
Welcome is a census-designated place (CDP) in Davidson County, in the U.S. state of North Carolina. The population was 4,162 at the 2010 census. It is nationally known as the home of NASCAR's Richard Childress. The town motto is "Welcome to Welcome, A Friendly Place," as posted on the welcoming sign. Thomasville, North Carolina
Thomasville is a city in Davidson County, North Carolina. The population was 21,354 at the 2010 census. Yadkin College
Yadkin College was a college founded in 1857 by the Methodist Protestant Church. It was located in rural Davidson County, North Carolina and named for the nearby Yadkin River. Davidson County Solar Farm
The Davidson County Solar Farm is a 17.2 megawatt solar power station located in the heart of North Carolina, near the community of Linwood. SunEdison built the array of photovoltaic panels, and Duke Energy buys all the output from the solar farm. The solar farm is located on North Carolina Highway 47, off New Jersey Church Road.
Buck Steam Station
The Buck Steam Station is currently a 369-MW coal-fired electrical power plant, owned by Duke Energy. There are also three natural gas-fueled combustion turbines at the location that provide an additional 93 MW (and which began operation in 1970), and two natural gas-fueled combined cycle turbines are planned for the near future.
