Biltmore Village
Biltmore Village, formerly Best, is a small village that is now entirely in the city limits of Asheville, North Carolina. It is adjacent to the main entrance of the Biltmore Estate, built by George W. Vanderbilt, one of the heirs to the Vanderbilt family fortune. Once known as the town of Best, George Vanderbilt created this village as a "company town" for the estate workers. The community was planned and designed to reflect the qualities of an English country village.

Memorial Stadium, Asheville
Memorial Stadium is a multi-use stadium located in Asheville, North Carolina. In the early 2000s the stadium fell onto hard times, but is now in the midst of a project to revamp it called "master plan". Built in 1925 the 5,000-capacity stadium currently hosts several local teams, the Asheville Grizzlies of the North American Football League and athletics events for Buncombe County. The stadium hosted the now defunct Asheville Splash of the United Soccer Leagues W-League.

Porter Taylor is the current bishop seated at the cathedral.

The Western North Carolina Nature Center is a zoological park operated by the City of Asheville Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts Department.. Until 1973, it was known as the Asheville City Zoo and was then renamed the Children's Zoo and Nature Center. It received its current name in 1974 when formed as a non-profit charity to develop the zoo which ultimately opened in 1976.
