Stony Brook Sports Complex

Stony Brook Sports Complex is a multi-purpose complex located in Stony Brook University, Stony Brook, NY. The Complex houses the Stony Brook Arena on the west end, the Pritchard Gymnasium, a 25 yard long swimming Pool, an athletic performance center and many other athletic facilities within. Currently, the Stony Brook Seawolves basketball and volleyball programs home games are played in the Complex, specifically in the Pritchard Gymnasium.

The Stony Brook School

The Stony Brook School (SBS) is a private independent Christian boarding and college preparatory school for boys and girls in grades 7 to 12. It is located in Stony Brook on the north shore of Long Island, New York. It was founded by the Rev. Dr. John F. Carson and fellow members of the Stony Brook Assembly in 1922, and its founding headmaster was Frank E. Gaebelein.

The Kenneth P. LaValle Stadium is the main stadium for Stony Brook University in Stony Brook, New York, USA. Construction began in 2000 at a cost of approximately $22 million. Stony Brook (LIRR station)

Stony Brook is a historic station on the Port Jefferson Branch of the Long Island Rail Road. It is located in Stony Brook on the southeast side of New York State Route 25A, across the street from the intersection of Route 25A with Cedar Street. On the opposite side of the tracks is the State University of New York at Stony Brook. There is also an at-grade pedestrian crossing between the station and a parking lot at the University.

C. N. Yang Institute for Theoretical Physics

The C. N. Yang Institute of Theoretical Physics (YITP) is a research center at Stony Brook University. In 1965, it was the vision of then University President J.S. Toll and Physics Department chair T.A. Pond to create an institute for theoretical physics and invite the famous physicist Chen Ning Yang from Institute for Advanced Study to serve as its director with the Albert Einstein Professorship of Physics.

Joe Nathan Field

Joe Nathan Field is a baseball field on the campus of Stony Brook University in Stony Brook, New York, USA. It is also referred to as the Stony Brook Baseball Field. The field is home to the Stony Brook Seawolves baseball team of the NCAA Division I America East Conference. It is located at the northern end of the school's athletics complex. The facility was known as Seawolves Field through the 2002 season, when its name was changed to University Field.

Simons Center for Geometry and Physics

The Simons Center for Geometry and Physics is a center for theoretical physics and mathematics at Stony Brook University in New York. The focus of the center is mathematical physics and the interface of geometry and physics. It was founded in 2007 by a gift from the James and Marilyn Simons Foundation. The current director of the center is John Morgan. A new building is being constructed for the center, scheduled to be completed in September, 2010.

Mount Stony Brook Observatory

The Mount Stony Brook Observatory is an astronomical observatory operated by Stony Brook University in Stony Brook, New York. It is located on the roof of the Earth and Space Sciences Building. The dome contains a Meade 14" Maksutov–Cassegrain telescope and SBIG (SBIG-STL1001e) imaging equipment. The telescope is used for teaching undergraduate and graduate astronomy labs by the department, as well as by the Astronomy club.
