Long Island

Long Island is an island in the U.S. state of New York. Stretching northeast into the Atlantic Ocean, Long Island contains four counties, two of which are boroughs of New York City, and two of which are mainly suburban. In popular usage, "Long Island" often refers only to Nassau and Suffolk counties in order to differentiate them from New York City, although all four counties are on the island and part of the New York metropolitan area.

Elwood, New York

Elwood is a hamlet in Suffolk County, New York, United States. The population was 11,177 at the 2010 census. Elwood is a community in the Town of Huntington. At one time, the sign located at the corner of Elwood Road and Cuba Hill Road referred to Elwood as "The Heart Of Huntington. " However, the sign has since changed, now using an actual heart rather than the word.

Long Island Arena

Long Island Arena (also commonly known as the Commack Arena) was a 4,000-seat indoor arena in Commack, New York from 1959 until 1996. The Long Island Ducks of the Eastern Hockey League, a popular team in the small community, called the Arena home from 1959 until the league folded in 1973, one year after the New York Islanders came into existence. The Long Island Cougars also played at the Long Island Arena from 1973 through 1975.

Unitron

Unitron is a US based company and distributor of optical instruments including microscopes, binoculars, and telescopes; formerly made by Nihon Seiko of Japan. Unitron was founded in 1952 and is based in Bohemia, NY. Although they no longer sell telescopes they still sell replacement parts.
