Rockland County is a county in the U.S. state of New York. Located 15 miles northwest of Manhattan and part of the New York City Metropolitan Area, it is the southernmost county in New York west of the Hudson River, and the smallest county by area in New York outside of New York City. The population, as of the 2010 census, was 311,687. The name derives from "rocky land", as the area was described by early Dutch and English settlers. Spring Valley, incorporated on July 9, 1902, is a village in the towns of Ramapo and Clarkstown in Rockland County, New York, United States. It is located north of Nanuet, east of Airmont and Monsey, south of Hillcrest, and west of West Nyack. The population was 31,347 at the 2010 census. Spring Valley spans the border of two towns, occupying an eastern portion of the town of Ramapo and a small western portion of the town of Clarkstown.

Spring Valley is a Metro-North Railroad station and terminus of New Jersey Transit's Pascack Valley Line. The station is in Spring Valley, New York, at Main Street, 1/8 mile from Route 59. It also serves as the Spring Valley Bus Terminal. This line runs north-south to Hoboken Terminal with connections via the Secaucus Junction transfer station to New Jersey Transit one-stop service to New York Penn Station and to other NJ Transit rail service.

New Hempstead Presbyterian Church
The New Hempstead Presbyterian Church is located at the intersection of New Hempstead and Old Schoolhouse roads in New Hemsptead, New York, United States. It is a wood frame Federal style building from the 1820s, the third church on the site. When its congregation was established in 1734, it was the first by a group of English settlers in New York west of the Hudson River. The building is the second oldest extant church in the county.
