Rockaways' Playland
Rockaways' Playland was an amusement park located on Beach 98th Street in Rockaway Beach in the Borough of Queens, New York City, at Beach 98 Street between Rockaway Beach Boulevard and the beachfront. It was opened in 1902 by William Wainwright and was closed permanently in 1985. Originally extending to the boardwalk adjoining the beachfront, Playland's area was greatly truncated in the late-1930s by the construction of the Shore Front Parkway at the behest of Robert Moses.

Beach Channel High School (BCHS) (also known as High School 410 or H.S. 410), is a high school in the public school system of New York City, is located at 100-00 Beach Channel Drive in Rockaway Park in the borough of Queens. The school opened in 1973 and, as of 2006, has an enrollment of 2,175 students. The school was built on the edge of Jamaica Bay and has a private dock.
Rockaway Beach Boulevard
Rockaway Beach Boulevard, opened in 1886, was the first major east-west thoroughfare on the Rockaway Peninsula in the Borough of Queens in New York City. Much of its route parallels the Rockaway Freeway and the IND Rockaway Line above the Freeway. The boulevard first forks off at its eastern end from Beach Channel Drive at Beach 35th Street in Edgemere and merges once again with Beach Channel Drive by Jacob Riis Park shortly before the Marine Parkway Bridge.
Rockaway Beach Hotel
The Rockaway Beach Hotel, also known as the Hotel Imperial, was a gigantic hotel built in New York City during the late 1870s and early 1880s by the Rockaway Improvement Company. The hotel, promoted as the "biggest hotel in the world", ran along the beachfront from the present-day Beach 110th Street to Beach 116th Street, thus locating it in the contemporary Rockaway Park neighborhood rather than Rockaway Beach as the name implies.
Curley's Atlas Hotel and Baths
Curley's Atlas Hotel and Baths was a long-standing institution in the Rockaway Park neighborhood of Queens in New York City. The hotel was founded in 1876 by John J. Curley on the beachfront at present-day Beach 102nd Street, in the neighborhood now known as Rockaway Beach or "Irishtown". The hotel was moved to its longer-lasting site at Beach 116th Street (then known as Fifth Avenue) in 1900.
Stella Maris High School
Stella Maris High School was an all-girls, private, Roman Catholic high school on the Rockaway Peninsula in Queens, New York. It was located within the Roman Catholic Diocese of Brooklyn. People who attended this school said this was a "small school where big things happen. " The highlight event of this school was "Blue And Gold," a school spirit event where the freshman and seniors competed against the sophomores and juniors in a series of events.

Scholars' Academy is a middle school (grades 6-8) for children that pass (3s and 4s). The school was started in 2006, and is located in Rockaway Park, New York. The school's address is 320 Beach 104th street, Rockaway Park. After starting out as a pilot program, Scholars' Academy has evolved into a co-ed grade 6-12 middle/high school. There are 6-8 classes in each grade contain a ratio of 1:33. Students will be taking the Living Environment and Integrated Algebra Regents in 8th grade.
