Bushwick, Brooklyn
Bushwick is a neighborhood in the northern part of the New York City borough of Brooklyn. The neighborhood, formerly Brooklyn's 18th Ward, is now part of Brooklyn Community Board 4. It is served by the NYPD's 83rd Precinct and is represented in the New York City Council as part of Districts 34 and 37. Bushwick is bound by Williamsburg to the west, East New York to the east, Bedford-Stuyvesant and Brownsville to the south, and Ridgewood, Queens to the north.
Ridgewood Park (baseball ground)
Ridgewood Park, also known as Grauer's Ridgewood Park (Ridgewood Park I) or Wallace's Ridgewood Park (Ridgewood Park II), was a baseball ground located in Ridgewood, in the New York City borough of Queens. The grounds were used, on occasion, by the Brooklyn Bridegrooms baseball club of the American Association (AA), as their home park from 1886 to 1889 and of the Brooklyn Gladiators, also of the AA, for the 1890 season.

Served by the L and M trains at all times, it is located at Myrtle Avenue and Wyckoff Avenue in the Bushwick neighborhood of Brooklyn and the Ridgewood neighborhood of Queens (since Wyckoff Avenue between Gates Avenue and Eldert Street forms the border between Brooklyn and Queens).
DeKalb Avenue (BMT Canarsie Line)
DeKalb Avenue is a station on the BMT Canarsie Line of the New York City Subway. Located at the intersection of Wyckoff and DeKalb Avenues in Bushwick, Brooklyn, it is served by the L train at all times. This underground station, opened on December 14, 1928, has two tracks and two side platforms. Each platform has blue columns are regular intervals with every other column having a standard black and white station name plate.
Knickerbocker Avenue (BMT Myrtle Avenue Line)
Knickerbocker Avenue is a station on the BMT Myrtle Avenue Line of the New York City Subway. Located at the intersection of Myrtle and Knickerbocker Avenues in Bushwick, Brooklyn, it is served by the M train at all times. This elevated station, opened on December 19, 1889, has two side platforms and two tracks with space for a third track. The center track was removed in 1969 when the BMT Myrtle Avenue Line west of the Myrtle Avenue station was demolished after a fire on the structure.
Seneca Avenue (BMT Myrtle Avenue Line)
Seneca Avenue is a station on the BMT Myrtle Avenue Line of the New York City Subway. Located at the intersection of Palmetto Street and Seneca Avenue in Ridgewood, Queens, it is served by the M train at all times. This elevated station, opened on August 9, 1915, has two tracks and an island platform. The platform has a steel canopy supported by black and green columns in the center. It has the unfortunate distinction of being assessed as the MTA's station most in need of repair.
Forest Avenue (BMT Myrtle Avenue Line)
Forest Avenue is a station on the BMT Myrtle Avenue Line of the New York City Subway. It has two tracks and an island platform. The station is served by the M train at all times. The exit is at the east end of the station and leads to Forest Avenue. There was also an exit at the west end that lead to Woodward Avenue. The canopy is metal while the mezzanine is wood. West of the station, there is space for a center track.
Fresh Pond Road (BMT Myrtle Avenue Line)
Fresh Pond Road is a station on the BMT Myrtle Avenue Line of the New York City Subway. Located on Fresh Pond Road opposite of 67th Avenue in Ridgewood, Queens, it is served by the M train at all times. This elevated station, opened on August 9, 1915, has two tracks and an island platform. The platform is wider than those in most other stations in the system because the station was formerly a major transfer point to the Flushing–Ridgewood Line streetcar to Flushing.

Admission to this school is by competitive examination, unlike many public Middle Schools in New York City. The school serves grades 5-8. Philippa Schuyler is noted for its academics and high scoring on standardized examinations. The school's namesake is the child prodigy and pianist Philippa Schuyler.
Metropolitan Oval
The Metropolitan Oval, also known as Met Oval, is a soccer complex located in Maspeth, Queens in New York City. Village Voice named the complex, which takes up 4.2 acres, the "Best full soccer field in the middle of a residential neighborhood" in 2004, for its "pristine" playing surface and the view of the Manhattan skyline.

The school is expected to grow to have a population of approximately 400 students, spread out through 4 grades.

Famous Accountants is a contemporary art gallery located in Ridgewood, Queens near the border with the Bushwick neighborhood of Brooklyn. It was founded in October 2009 by artists Kevin Regan and Ellen Letcher, who opened the space to carry on the community spirit of Austin Thomas's closed Pocket Utopia gallery. The gallery is located in the basement of a building on Gates Avenue that was owned for nearly 15 years by performance artist Genesis P-Orridge.
