Elmhurst, Queens
Elmhurst is a lower middle class neighborhood in the New York City borough of Queens in the United States, on Long Island. It is bounded by Roosevelt Avenue on the north; Corona to the northeast; Junction Boulevard on the east; Rego Park to the southeast; the Long Island Expressway on the south; Middle Village to the south and southwest; and Maspeth and the New York Connecting Railroad on the west; and Woodside on the northwest. The neighborhood is part of Queens Community Board 4.

Queens Place
Queens Place is an urban shopping mall in New York City, New York, USA. Just northwest of the larger Queens Center, it is located on Queens Boulevard in the neighborhood of Elmhurst, Queens. The building was constructed in 1965 as Macy's and was designed by Skidmore, Owings and Merrill. It was later converted to Stern's and then closed by Federated Department Stores. Today its flagship stores are Best Buy, DSW, Inc.

Its multinational student body consists of approximately 2,879 students, with a larger percentage of Hispanic and Asian students. Newtown High School celebrated its 110th anniversary in 2007. For the first time in over 30 years, Newtown High School held its graduation at York College in 2010, instead of Forest Park.

Located at the intersection of Elmhurst Avenue and Broadway in Elmhurst, Queens, it is served by the R train at all times except late nights, when the E train replaces it as the local along Queens Boulevard. The M train provides additional service here on weekdays. This underground station, opened on December 31, 1936, has four tracks and two side platforms.
Woodhaven Boulevard (IND Queens Boulevard Line)

Elmhurst (LIRR station)
Elmhurst was a station stop along the Port Washington Branch of the Long Island Rail Road. It was located on Broadway between Cornish and Whitney Avenues in the Elmhurst section of Queens, New York City. The first depot opened as Newtown around 1855 by the Flushing Railroad, later renamed Elmhurst around June 1897 and razed around 1888. The second depot opened around December, 1888 and razed around 1927.
Grand Street (LIRR Main Line station)
Grand Street was a railroad station located on the Main Line of the Long Island Railroad It was located on Grand Street (now Avenue) in the Elmhurst section of Queens, New York City, west of the present Grand Avenue – Newtown subway station on the IND Queens Boulevard Line. Though it was only operational for twelve years, it served both the Main Line and the Rockaway Beach Branch which broke away from the main line in Rego Park.
