Fort Montgomery is a hamlet in Orange County, New York, United States. The population was 1,571 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Poughkeepsie–Newburgh–Middletown, NY Metropolitan Statistical Area as well as the larger New York–Newark–Bridgeport, NY-NJ-CT-PA Combined Statistical Area. Fort Montgomery is in the southeast corner of the Town of Highlands, on U.S. Route 9W.

Highland Falls, formerly named Buttermilk Falls, is a village in Orange County, New York, United States. The population was 4,000 at the 2010 census. The village was founded in 1906. It is part of the Poughkeepsie–Newburgh–Middletown, NY Metropolitan Statistical Area as well as the larger New York–Newark–Bridgeport, NY-NJ-CT-PA Combined Statistical Area. Highland Falls is in the Town of Highlands and is adjacent to the United States Military Academy at West Point.

Manitou (Metro-North station)

The Manitou Metro-North Railroad station (pronounced Mani-tow), open part-time (one peak hour train in each direction, and two weekend trains) serves the residents of that hamlet in the southwestern corner of the Town of Philipstown in Putnam County, New York, via the Metro-North Hudson Line. It is 46 miles from Grand Central Terminal and travel time to Grand Central is approximately one hour, 16 minutes. Manitou is one of two stations on the Hudson Line that receives limited passenger service.

Iona Island (New York)

Iona Island is a 556-acre (2.2 km²) bedrock island, part of the Hudson River nature reserve in Stony Point, New York. It is part of Bear Mountain State Park The island is separated from the Hudson's western shore by mudflats and freshwater tidal marshes. The Battle of Forts Clinton and Montgomery was an American Revolutionary War battle fought in the highlands of the Hudson River valley, not far from West Point, on October 6, 1777. British forces under the command of General Sir Henry Clinton captured Fort Clinton and Fort Montgomery, and then dismantled the Hudson River Chain.

St. Mark's Episcopal Church (Fort Montgomery, New York)

St. Mark's Episcopal Church is located on US 9W in the hamlet of Fort Montgomery, New York, United States.
