Garrison (Metro-North station)
The Garrison Metro-North Railroad station serves residents of Garrison, New York via the Hudson Line. Trains leave for New York City every hour on weekdays and about every 25 minutes during rush hour. It is 49.9 miles (80 km) from Grand Central Terminal and travel time to Grand Central is approximately one hour, 17 minutes. It is known for its sweeping views of West Point across the river.

It is located on NY 9D near the center of the hamlet, right across from St. Philip's Church in the Highlands, where it was originally located when established in 1793.
Lake Peekskill
Lake Peekskill is a reservoir located in the town of Putnam Valley in Putnam County, New York. The lake, which was originally called Lower Cranberry Pond before being dammed, was developed in the 1920s by McGolrick Co. , with summer cottages sold to New York City residents. Now, most residents are year-round inhabitants. There are three private beaches on the lake: North Beach, Singers Beach and Carraras Beach.
Ladycliff College
Ladycliff College was a small Catholic college in Highland Falls, New York and is now defunct. Founded in 1933 as woman's college by the Franciscan Sisters of Peekskill, it remained a single sex institution until admitting 7 men in 1978. The 1978 and 1979 graduating classes were the largest in school history with 131 graduates each. The school closed in after the 1979–80 school year. The school was located adjacent to the United States Military Academy at West Point.
