Clarence Fahnestock State Park
Clarence Fahnestock Memorial State Park a 14,086 acre (56.3 km) New York state park, in Putnam and Dutchess counties. The park has hiking trails, an environmental center, a beach on Canopus Lake, and fishing on four ponds and two lakes. Most of the park is in northern Putnam County between the Taconic State Parkway and US Route 9. The original land, a donation of about 2,400 acres (9.6 km), was donated in 1929 by Dr. Ernest Fahnestock as a memorial to his brother Clarence.

Canopus Lake
Canopus Lake is a small lake within Clarence Fahnestock State Park in northern Putnam County, New York, USA. The lake is about 1.5 miles (2.0 km) long and 1/4 mile (0.4 km) wide at its widest point. Immediately to its east is Pelton Pond. The lake is on NY 301 just west of the Taconic State Parkway. The beach at the lake is called the "jewel of the park" and is used for swimming, boating, and fishing. In the winter, some cross-country skiers use the flat surface as a trail.

Lake Oscawana is a lake at the heart of Putnam Valley, New York State, United States. The 386-acre lake has a depth that ranges from 25 feet to 30 feet . The lake is fed by a stream from its north end and it drains through a stream at the middle of its eastern shore. It is nestled in between two hill ranges, which provide spectacular views if you climb one.

Eden Village Camp is a co-ed Jewish sleepaway organic farm camp in Putnam Valley, New York. It is a non-profit sustainable-living "farm-to-table" camp founded by Yoni Stadlin and Vivian Lehrer, located on 248 acres touching the Appalachian Trail, 50 miles north of New York City.
Clear Lake Scout Reservation
The Agatha A. Durland Scout Reservation is a scout camp owned by the Westchester-Putnam Council in Putnam Valley, New York. It is 1,400 acres of mostly deciduous forest containing five lakes, bordered by Clarence Fahnestock State Park to the northeast. It has about forty campsites and nine cabins. In the summer months, it is used as one of three Westchester-Putnam Council cub scout day camps.
