Ralph Bunche Park
Ralph Bunche Park is a small municipal public park in the Turtle Bay neighborhood of New York City, at the northwest corner of First Avenue and 42nd Street. It was named in 1979 for the late Ralph Bunche, the first African-American to win the Nobel Peace Prize. The park is across First Avenue from the United Nations headquarters. Ford Foundation Building
The Ford Foundation Building is an office building in Midtown Manhattan designed by architect Kevin Roche and his engineering partner, John Dinkeloo. 42nd Street (IRT Second Avenue Line)
42nd Street was a station on the demolished IRT Second Avenue Line. It had three tracks and two island platforms. The next stop to the north was 50th Street for local trains and 57th Street for express trains. The next stop to the south was 34th Street for locaal trains and 14th Street for express trains. The station closed on June 13, 1942.
