Upper West Side
The Upper West Side is a neighborhood in the borough of Manhattan, New York City, that lies between Central Park and the Hudson River and between West 59th Street and West 110th Street. The Upper West Side is sometimes also considered by real estate brokers to include the neighborhood of Morningside Heights. Like the Upper East Side, the Upper West Side is an upscale, primarily residential area with many of its residents working in more commercial areas in Midtown and Lower Manhattan.

91st Street (IRT Broadway – Seventh Avenue Line)
91st Street was a local station on the IRT Broadway – Seventh Avenue Line of the New York City Subway. The station was in use from the opening of the subway in 1904 until February 1959, when the adjacent 96th Street station was lengthened to the south, providing a new entrance only 100 feet (30 m) away from 93rd street. The station's two abandoned side platforms are still visible from passing trains.
St. Agnes Boys High School
Saint Agnes Boys High School is a small, all-boys, private Catholic high school on the Upper West Side of Manhattan in New York City. It is run by the Marist Brothers in conjunction with the Archdiocese of New York. The school has just over 400 students during a given semester. Tuition is approximately $6,000 a year, with assistance available. The mascot of St. Agnes is the stag. St. Agnes enrolls approximately 260 students in grades 9 through 12. The average class size is 20.
The Center School (Manhattan)
The Center School is a public magnet middle school located in the Upper West Side of Manhattan, New York City, United States. This school was founded by Elaine Schwartz in 1982, and as of 2011 she is still serving as the Director. This is a small school with 221 students from the 5th to 8th grades. The school has very small classes of about 12 to 30. Students are in all mixed-grade classes, except for Math, Literature and Latin.
86th Street (IRT Broadway – Seventh Avenue Line)
86th Street is a local station on the IRT Broadway – Seventh Avenue Line of the New York City Subway. Located at the intersection of West 86th Street and Broadway on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, it is served by the 1 train at all times and the 2 train during late nights only. This underground station, opened as part of the original subway on October 27, 1904, has two side platforms and four tracks.

West Side (Manhattan)

The major neighborhoods on the West Side are (from north to south) West Harlem, Morningside Heights, Manhattan Valley, Upper West Side, Hell's Kitchen, Chelsea, West Village, SoHo, and Tribeca. The 8th Avenue and West Side subway lines connect all parts of the West Side.
Metropolitan Fireproof Warehouse
Metropolitan Fireproof Warehouse was an 11-story structure built on the West Side (Manhattan) in 1925. It fronted seventy-four feet on Amsterdam Avenue between 82nd Avenue and 83rd Street. Continuing in its rear for one hundred feet, the edifice possessed an L fronting twenty-five feet on West 83rd Street. Aside from warehouse space, the Metropolitan Fireproof Warehouse contained exhibit, sales rooms, and other facilities.
81st Street (IRT Ninth Avenue Line)
81st Street was a station on the demolished IRT Ninth Avenue Line. It had two levels. The lower level was built first and had two tracks and two side platforms and served local trains. The upper level was built as part of the Dual Contracts and had one track that served express trains that bypassed this station. It closed on July 11, 1940. The next southbound stop was 72nd Street. The next northbound stop was 86th Street.

520 West End Avenue
520 West End Avenue, also known as the Leech residence, is a landmarked mansion on West End Avenue, on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. The house, built as a single family residence, was built in 1892 as the residence of Isabella and John B. Leech. Leech was a prosperous cotton broker. The architect was Clarence F. True. At the time the Leech residence was built, West End Avenue was lined with single family homes belonging to prosperous families.

Jewish Center (Manhattan)
The Jewish Center is one of America's premier Orthodox synagogues, and Modern Orthodox congregations. The synagogue was founded in 1918 by prosperous Jews moving into the Upper West Side of Manhattan, a neighborhood that was just being built along the new IRT subway line.

Astor Court Building
The Astor Court building is an apartment house in New York City. It is located on the Upper West Side on Broadway between 89th Street and 90th Street. It was designed by architect Charles A. Platt for developer Vincent Astor. The thirteen-story building is constructed around a landscaped courtyard. 250 West 90th Street
250 West 90th Street is a New York City apartment building located at Broadway and West 90th Street in New York City. The 22-story brick building was designed by architects and Philip Birnbaum & Associates for real estate developers Harvey Schulweis and Bill P. Nikolis. The building occupies the site of the 1914 Standard Theater, Thomas W. Lamb, it was in use as a supermarket before being razed to construct the present condominium tower.
Barney Greengrass
Barney Greengrass is a restaurant, deli, and appetizing store located at 541 Amsterdam Avenue (West 86th Street and West 87th Street) on the Upper West Side of Manhattan that was started in 1908. They specialize in sturgeon, Nova Scotia salmon, and whitefish, and is very popular for brunch. They were the winner of the 2006 James Beard Foundation Award for Excellence. In 2013, Zagats gave it a food rating of 24, third-highest among New York City delis.

Murray's Sturgeon Shop is a gourmet store and neighborhood fixture in Manhattan's Upper West Side. It is located on Broadway between 89th and 90th streets. The shop was founded by Murray Bernstein in 1945. A few years later, his brother, Sam, became a co-owner. The Bernsteins were born in Poland and immigrated to New York in the 1930s to escape anti-semitism. The store specializes in smoked fish, especially sturgeon, and caviar.
