Sherman Square
Sherman Square is a diminutive public space bounded by Broadway, Amsterdam Avenue and West 70th Street on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, in New York City. The small parcel of land, acquired by the city in 1849, was named for William Tecumseh Sherman, who had once resided nearby, in 1891. In the 1960s and 1970s the nearby Verdi Square and Sherman Square were known by local drug users and dealers as "needle park".
Olcott Hotel
The Olcott Hotel is an establishment on West Seventy-Second street in New York City's Upper West Side. It was built by the Lapidus Engineering Company beginning in late 1925. The edifice was one of a number of structures constructed at the time from Central Park West to Columbus Avenue on Seventy-Second Street, in New York City. The Fairfield Hotel was another building going up concurrently. Its builder was Louis Israelson and Associates.
Septuagesimo Uno
Septuagesimo Uno is a 0.04-acre park in the Upper West Side of the New York City borough of Manhattan. It is located on 71st Street between West End Avenue to the west and the intersection of Broadway and Amsterdam Avenue to the east. The park's name means seventy-first in Latin. The park is operated and maintained by the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation. In the 1960s, Mayor John Lindsay started the Vest Pocket Park campaign to acquire vacant land for use as small parks.
Special Music School
The Special Music School (New York City Public School 859), or SMS, is a unique New York public school for musically gifted children. The school is run as a public/private partnership between the New York City Department of Education and Kaufman Center, a not-for-profit, multi-arts organization. The Department of Education funds the academic portion of the students' education, while the music program is funded by private donations through Kaufman Center.

Manhattan Day School
Manhattan Day School, often called MDS, is a Modern Orthodox Jewish yeshiva elementary school located on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. It was founded in 1943. The school has an early childhood department in addition to serving students grades K-8. It also offers a summer camp for children ages 3 - 7, and a science camp for first, second, and third grade students.
72nd Street (IRT Ninth Avenue Line)
72nd Street was a station on the demolished IRT Ninth Avenue Line. It had two levels. The lower level was built first and had two tracks and two side platforms and served local trains. The upper level was built as part of the Dual Contracts and had one track that served express trains that bypassed this station. It closed on July 11, 1940. The next southbound stop was 66th Street. The next northbound stop was 81st Street.
Pythian Temple (New York City)
The Pythian Temple is an historic Knights of Pythias building at 135 West 70th Street between Columbus Avenue and Broadway in the Lincoln Square neighborhood of Manhattan, New York City. It was built in 1927 to serve as a meeting place for the 120 Pythian lodges of New York City. Today it is an 88-unit luxury condominium building known as The Pythian.
Kaufman Center
Kaufman Center is a notable performing arts complex in New York City that houses Lucy Moses School, the Special Music School, and Merkin Concert Hall. Originally known as the Hebrew Arts School, it was founded in 1952 and is currently located on West 67th Street between Broadway and Amsterdam Avenue. More than 75,000 people use the Center annually. Arclight Theatre
The Arclight Theatre, located at 152 West 71st Street, between Broadway & Columbus Avenues. The theater has a seating capacity of 99 seats and is located on the lower level of The Church of the Blessed Sacrament, down one flight of stairs.
Rutgers Presbyterian Church
Rutgers Presbyterian Church is a Presbyterian house of worship in New York City. The church's origins date to 1798 in Lower Manhattan. The first church building was erected on a plot of ground donated by Colonel Henry Rutgers at the corner of what would become Henry Street (Manhattan) and Rutgers Street. Church building was paid for by contributions from the members. Original charter of the church contained 107 names. First church building was dedicated on May 13, 1798.
