Inwood Country Club
Inwood Country Club is a private country club in Inwood, New York, located adjacent to Jamaica Bay and near John F. Kennedy International Airport. Originally established as a nine hole course in 1901, it is one of the oldest golf courses on Long Island. The course was expanded to an eighteen hole layout in 1906. Inwood Country Club was the site of the 1921 PGA Championship, which was won by Walter Hagen as well as the 1923 U.S. Open, which was the first major won by Bobby Jones.
