East Garden City, New York
East Garden City is a census-designated place (CDP) in the northeast part of the Town of Hempstead, in the central part of Nassau County, New York, along the Hempstead/North Hempstead town line. The population was 6,028 at the 2010 census. East Garden City is a hamlet (an unincorporated area) and a mostly commercial and industrial area.
Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum
The Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum (commonly known as Nassau Coliseum or simply The Coliseum) is a multi-purpose indoor arena in Uniondale, New York. Mitchel Athletic Complex
The Mitchel Athletic Complex is part of the Mitchel Field complex, located in Uniondale, New York, in the United States. Mitchel Athletic Complex was built in 1984 and renovated in 1997; it hosted track and field events during the 1998 Goodwill Games. Roosevelt Field (Airport)
Roosevelt Field is a former airport, located 2.3 miles east-southeast of Mineola, Long Island, New York. Originally called the Hempstead Plains Aerodrome, or sometimes Hempstead Plains field or the Garden City Aerodrome, it was used as a training field (Hazelhurst Field) for the Air Service, United States Army during World War I. In 1919, it was renamed in honor of President Theodore Roosevelt's son, Quentin, who was killed in air combat during World War I.
Cradle of Aviation Museum
The Cradle of Aviation Museum is an aerospace museum located in East Garden City, New York on Long Island to commemorate Long Island's part in the history of aviation. It is located on land once part of Mitchel Air Force Base which, together with nearby Roosevelt Field and other airfields on the Hempstead Plains, was the site of many historic flights.

Roosevelt Raceway (motor sports)
The Roosevelt Raceway motor sports race track was a Vanderbilt Cup and GP venue on New York's Long Island for the United States Grand Prix in 1936 and 1937. The land was acquired by lease from "Unit 2" of Roosevelt Field airport, and was the site of the runway from which Charles Lindbergh took off in the Spirit of St. Louis. The original raceway was twisty and bumpy, making it not quite suited to the big-bore big-BHP racecars of the day.

Roosevelt Raceway (harness racing)
Roosevelt Raceway was a ½-mile harness racing dirt then later synthetic (1957) track located in Westbury, New York, which operated from September 2, 1940 until July 15, 1988. It was the original home of the Messenger Stakes, part of the Triple Crown of Harness Racing for Pacers. The raceway hosted the event until it closed. It was also the first track to use the now universal "mobile starting gate".
University Field (Hofstra)
University Field is a baseball venue in Hempstead, New York, United States. It is home to the Hofstra Pride baseball team of the NCAA Division I Colonial Athletic Association. The facility has a capacity of 400 spectators. The field features a Competition Turf artificial surface in the infield and a natural grass surface in the outfield.
