University of Rochester Arboretum
The University of Rochester Arboretum is an arboretum located across the River Campus of the University of Rochester, 612 Wilson Boulevard, Rochester, New York, USA. The River Campus is located beside the Genesee River on a site previously owned by the Oak Hill Country Club. Famed landscape architect Frederick Law Olmsted, Sr. had designed a "River Walk" of oak trees along the river; and after the university purchased the site in 1923, his son Frederick Law Olmsted, Jr.
Ellwanger Garden
Ellwanger Garden (0.5 acres) is a historical garden located at 625 Mt. Hope Avenue, Rochester, New York. It is open only during the Lilac Festival (May), Peony Weekend (June), and by appointment. The garden was planted in 1867 for the residential grounds of George Ellwanger, noted 19th-century nurseryman, who also gave Rochester's fine Highland Park to the city. It was maintained for 115 years by the Ellwanger family.

The Carlson Library serves the research needs of students and faculty in the fields of Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, and Statistics. The Carlson Science Library was established in 1972 and merged the Chemistry and Life Sciences Libraries along with the core Mathematics and Statistics collections.
