State University of New York at Geneseo
The State University of New York-College at Geneseo—also known as SUNY Geneseo, Geneseo State, or, colloquially, Geneseo—is located in Geneseo, Livingston County, New York, United States. It is a University College of the State University of New York. The school was founded as the Wadsworth Normal and Training School, in 1871, and became a state liberal arts college in 1948. It is a member of the Council of Public Liberal Arts Colleges.
Abbey of the Genesee
The Abbey of the Genesee is a community of more than two dozen contemplative monks located near Piffard in the town of York, New York. They are a member of the Order of Cistercians of the Strict Observance, commonly known as the Trappists. They were founded from the Abbey of Gethsemani in Bardstown, Kentucky in 1951.
Retsof, New York
Retsof is an unincorporated community within the town of York in Livingston County, New York, United States. The community, situated 26 miles southwest of the city of Rochester, is off rt 63 about a mile east of rt 36 It was founded by a man named Foster who reversed the letters of his name to name the town and was the site of one of the world's largest salt mines until its collapse in 1994. A new mine, the Hampton Corners mine, is located near Mount Morris, about 10 miles to the southeast.

Ira S. Wilson Ice Arena
The Ira S. Wilson Ice Arena (affectionately known as The Ira) is an ice arena located on the campus of the State University of New York College at Geneseo. It is the home ice of the Ice Knights, Geneseo's NCAA Division III men's ice hockey team. It is also used by the Geneseo/Livingston Blues Youth Hockey, as well as numerous students and residents of the town who take advantage of open skating hours during the week.
Geneseo Historic District
Geneseo Historic District, known also as Main Street Historic District, is a historic district in Geneseo, New York. It was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1991. The district includes Geneseo's historic commercial center and its most refined residential neighborhood, plus the 102.8-acre estate of the Wadsworth family. That estate, The Homestead (Geneseo) was already separately listed in 1974. The district consists of 312 properties, of which 288 are contributing.
