Malbone Street Wreck
The Malbone Street Wreck, also known as the Brighton Beach Line Accident of the Brooklyn Rapid Transit Company (BRT), was a rapid transit railroad accident that occurred November 1, 1918, beneath the intersection of Flatbush Avenue, Ocean Avenue, and Malbone Street (now known as Empire Boulevard), in the community of Flatbush, Brooklyn. At least 93 individuals died, making it one of the deadliest train crashes in the history of the United States.

Prospect Park South, Brooklyn
Prospect Park South is a neighborhood in the New York City borough of Brooklyn, within the community of Flatbush. It is bordered by Church Avenue to the north, the Brighton Line (B & Q trains at present) of the New York City Subway to the east, Beverley Road (originally spelled Beverly) to the south, and between Stratford Road and Coney Island Avenue to the west. Prospect Park South is patrolled by the NYPD's 70th Precinct.
Flatbush Avenue
Flatbush Avenue is one of the major avenues in the New York City Borough of Brooklyn. It runs from the Manhattan Bridge south-southeastward to Jamaica Bay, where it joins the Marine Parkway Bridge, which connects Brooklyn to the Rockaway Peninsula in Queens. The north end was extended to the Manhattan Bridge as "Flatbush Avenue Extension. " The diagonal path of Flatbush Avenue creates a unique street pattern in every neighborhood it touches.

Prospect Park is an express station on the BMT Brighton Line of the New York City Subway. Located at Empire Boulevard and Flatbush Avenue in Flatbush, Brooklyn, near the border of Crown Heights, Brooklyn, it is served by the Q and Franklin Avenue Shuttle trains at all times and the B train on weekdays.
Church Avenue (BMT Brighton Line)
Church Avenue is an express station on the BMT Brighton Line of the New York City Subway, located at Church Avenue near East 18th Street in the Flatbush neighborhood of Brooklyn. The station has four tracks and two island platforms. The full time Q train uses the local tracks at all times, while the B train uses the express tracks on weekdays only.
Parkside Avenue (BMT Brighton Line)
Parkside Avenue is a local station on the BMT Brighton Line of the New York City Subway. Located at Parkside Avenue and Ocean Avenue in Flatbush, Brooklyn, it is served by the Q train at all times. This station opened in 1907 as a two-track station named Woodruff Avenue, but now has four tracks and two side platforms. The two center express tracks are used by the B train when it operates on weekdays.
Beverley Road (BMT Brighton Line)
Beverley Road is a local station on the BMT Brighton Line of the New York City Subway. It is located over a private right-of-way at Beverley Road between Marlborough Road (East 15th Street) and East 16th Street in the neighborhood of Flatbush, Brooklyn. It is served by the Q train at all times. The original station at this location was opened around 1900 as a two-track street-level side platform station running south from a grade crossing at Beverley Road.

Cortelyou Road is a local station on the BMT Brighton Line of the New York City Subway, located at Cortelyou Road between Marlborough Road (East 15th Street) and East 16th Street in the neighborhood of Flatbush, Brooklyn. Located at the intersection of Church and Nostrand Avenues in the Flatbush neighborhood of Brooklyn, it is served by the 2 train at all times, and the 5 train on weekdays. This station has two tracks and two side platforms. Each platform was re-tiled during a 1997 renovation with a reproduction of its original 1920 Dual Contracts era tiling.
Prospect Lefferts Gardens
Prospect Lefferts Gardens is a residential neighborhood in Flatbush in the New York City borough of Brooklyn. The area is bounded by Empire Boulevard (formerly Malbone Street) to the north, Clarkson Avenue to the south, New York Avenue to the east, and Ocean Avenue/Prospect Park to the west. Prospect Lefferts Gardens is part of Brooklyn Community Board 9 and is serviced by the NYPD 71st Precinct. The area was originally settled by a Dutch family in 1660.
Victorian Flatbush
Victorian Flatbush is the western section of the Flatbush section of Brooklyn, New York, bordering Midwood, that is characterized by Victorian houses. Much of it is usually now thought of as part of Ditmas Park. The neighborhoods of Victorian Flatbush were developed in the early twentieth century from farmland in the former village of Flatbush, in response to the construction of the Brooklyn Rapid Transit line to Coney Island, and were some of the earliest suburbs.
