Blasdell, New York
Blasdell is a village in Erie County, New York, United States. The population was 2,553 according to the year 2010 census. The name is derived from Herman Blasdell, the first station master of the Erie and Pennsylvania railroad depot. It is part of the Buffalo–Niagara Falls Metropolitan Statistical Area. The Village of Blasdell lies in the northern part of the Town of Hamburg and is due south of Buffalo, New York and the City of Lackawanna.

Woodlawn Beach State Park

Steel Winds (or Steel Winds I) is a wind energy project located on the coast of Lake Erie in Lackawanna, New York, just south of the City of Buffalo proper in Erie County. The project is situated on 30 acres of the 1,600-acre brownfield that was the former Bethlehem Steel Plant. It was designed to produce 20-MW of electricity (enough to power 6,000 average American homes) or 9,000 homes in New York. Power is being sold into the NYS ISO grid for sale to retail customers.
