Burnside Avenue (IRT Jerome Avenue Line)
Burnside Avenue is an express station on the IRT Jerome Avenue Line of the New York City Subway. Located at the intersection of Burnside and Jerome Avenues in the Bronx, it is served by the 4 train at all times. It is the only express station with three tracks and two island platforms on the elevated portion of the Jerome Avenue Line. (The only other express station on the Jerome Avenue Line is the underground 149th Street – Grand Concourse station.
176th Street (IRT Jerome Avenue Line)
176th Street is a local station in on the IRT Jerome Avenue Line of the New York City Subway. Located at the intersection of 176th Street and Jerome Avenue in the Bronx, it is served by the 4 train at all times. It has old style signs painted over and covered up with new style signs, and features new fare control railings as a crossunder. The station has three tracks with two side platforms. The station was rehabilitated in 2004.
Tremont, Bronx
Tremont is a low-income residential neighborhood geographically located in the west Bronx, New York City. The neighborhood is part of Bronx Community Board 5. Its boundaries, starting from the north and moving clockwise are: East 183rd Street to the north, Webster Avenue to the east, the Cross-Bronx Expressway to the south, and the Jerome Avenue to the west. The Grand Concourse is the primary thoroughfare through Tremont.
174th–175th Streets (IND Concourse Line)
174th–175th Streets is a local station on the IND Concourse Line of the New York City Subway located at the Grand Concourse between East 174th and 175th Streets in the Bronx. It is served by D train at all times except rush hours in the peak direction and the B train during rush hours. This is a typically white-tiled IND underground station with support columns 3/4 to the edge of the platform from the back wall.
Tremont (Metro-North station)
The Tremont (also known as Tremont – East 177th Street) Metro-North Railroad station serves the Tremont section of The Bronx via the Harlem Line. It is 7.9 miles from Grand Central Terminal and is in an open cut at the intersection of Park Avenue and East Tremont Avenue (East 177th Street). Service at Tremont is limited; trains stop every 30 minutes during rush hours, every two hours otherwise. This station is in the Zone 2 Metro-North fare zone.
Tremont Avenue (IND Concourse Line)
Tremont Avenue is an express station on the IND Concourse Line of the New York City Subway. Located at the intersection of East Tremont Avenue and Grand Concourse, it is served by the D train at all times and B train during rush hours only. It has three tracks and two island platforms. Prior to a 1999 renovation, the station had a full length mezzanine above the platforms that connected both fare control areas.
West Bronx
The West Bronx is a neighborhood in the New York City borough of the Bronx. The neighborhood lies west of the Bronx River and roughly corresponds to the western half of the borough. The West Bronx is more densely populated than the East Bronx, and is closer to Upper Manhattan. From the late 17th century to the middle 19th century this was the central and southern part of the Town of Yonkers, but then became the separate Town of Kingsbridge.

The organization, founded in 2003 by Omar Freilla, seeks to create green-collar jobs and promotes environmental justice through the creation of cooperatives. Burton Arms Apartments
Burton Arms Apartments was an edifice completed in December 1922, located at 2115 Walton Avenue and 181st Street (Manhattan) in the Bronx. The building was one block from Lexington Avenue (Manhattan)-Jerome Avenue. Advertised as the most beautiful apartment house in New York City, it could be reached via the 6th Avenue (Manhattan) - 9th Avenue (Manhattan) subway or the L at Burnside Avenue. 3,4, or 5 room rentals were available.

Tremont Theatre, The Bronx
Tremont Theatre was a theater constructed in about 1910 with seating for 942. It was located on Webster Avenue and East 178th Street, beside a New York Telephone Company building. One of the earliest purpose-built cinemas, it was known by various names during its use including Tremont Yiddish Theatre, Cinema Tremont, Moss's Tremont Avenue and the Hamilton Theater. Crotona Theatre
Crotona Theatre at 453 East Tremont Avenue, in Bronx, New York opened in 1912 showing vaudeville. It had 2,210 seats and was one of William Fox’s first large theaters. Designed by Thomas W. Lamb, it had a Beaux Arts auditorium wainscotted in marble and red tapestry covering the walls. Movie showings were added and in the silent era a twelve-piece orchestra and a three manual Moller pipe organ (Op. 216) provided accompaniment. It closed in 1959 and became a factory/warehouse.
