Six Flags Great Adventure

Six Flags Great Adventure is a theme park in Jackson Township, Ocean County, New Jersey, United States, owned by Six Flags Entertainment Corp.. Situated between New York City and Philadelphia, the park complex also contains the Six Flags Wild Safari animal park and Hurricane Harbor water park. The park opened in 1974 under restaurateur Warner LeRoy. Six Flags took over ownership of the park in 1977. Today, the park contains eleven themed areas, four of which are designed for small children.

Batman & Robin: The Chiller

Batman & Robin: The Chiller was a sit down dual track looping shuttle roller coaster designed by Premier Rides that will operate at Beto Carrero World. It once operated at Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson, New Jersey from 1997 to 2007. Due to the constant downtime and flaws in the ride's operation, Six Flags removed the ride from the park in the fall of 2007. All track and supports were removed, however the station, observatory scenery piece, and outdoor queue line were left remaining.

Haunted Castle (Six Flags Great Adventure)

The Haunted Castle at Six Flags Great Adventure was a haunted house attraction at Six Flags Great Adventure amusement park in Jackson Township, New Jersey. On May 11, 1984, eight teenage visitors were trapped and killed when the structure was destroyed by fire. Six Flags Great Adventure and its parent company Six Flags were indicted for aggravated manslaughter, accused of recklessly causing the deaths by taking inadequate precautions against a fire.

Prospertown Lake

Prospertown Lake is a lake and wildlife management area, located on County Route 537 in the Prospertown section of Jackson Township, New Jersey, adjacent to Six Flags Great Adventure. In September 2011, a falling water level caused by the lake's drainage system has failed and the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection to promptly relocated thousands of fish to another body of water nearby. The lake was originally 14 feet deep.
