Edison, New Jersey
Edison Township (usually known as Edison) is a township in Middlesex County, New Jersey, United States. As of the 2010 United States Census, Edison had a total population of 99,967, retaining its position as the fifth-most populous municipality in New Jersey. The 2010 population reflected an increase of 2,280 (+2.3%) from the 97,687 counted in the 2000 Census, which had in turn increased by 9,007 (+10.2%) from the 88,680 counted in the 1990 Census.
Starland Ballroom
The Starland Ballroom is a concert venue located in Sayreville, New Jersey, USA. Opening night was December 7, 2003 and featured a performance by former Van Halen lead singer David Lee Roth. The venue was formerly known as the Hunka Bunka Ballroom, which operated as a dance music club in the 1980s and 1990s, though throughout the '90s it often hosted concerts, specifically punk and ska lineups.
South River (Raritan River)
The South River is a tributary of the Raritan River in central New Jersey in the United States. The South River, formed by the confluence of Matchaponix Brook and Manalapan Brook, becomes tidal downstream of the Duhernal Lake dam and joins the Raritan River approximately midway between New Brunswick and Perth Amboy. The South River has two mouths. It used to loop inefficiently to its confluence with the Raritan River, so a shortcut called Washington Canal was created.
Washington Canal (New Jersey)
The Washington Canal, in Sayreville, New Jersey, is a waterway connecting the South River with the Raritan River, bypassing several loops at the mouth of the former. It was chartered in 1823 to shorten the distance from South River, New Jersey (then known as Washington) to the Raritan River to speed water transport. It was built about 1824–1825. During Hurricane Sandy, the area around the Washington Canal suffered water heights that swelled to 14 feet above flood stage at the peak of the storm.

Sayreville War Memorial High School is a four-year community public high school located in the Parlin section of Sayreville, in Middlesex County, New Jersey, United States, operating as part of the Sayreville Public Schools. The school colors are blue and gray, and their sports teams are the Sayreville Bombers. As of the 2010-11 school year, the school had an enrollment of 1,734 students and 103.1 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 16.82:1.

The Sayreville Public Schools are a comprehensive community public school district that serves students in kindergarten through twelfth grade from Sayreville, in Middlesex County, New Jersey, United States. As of the 2009-10 school year, the district's eight schools had an enrollment of 5,912 students and 436 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 13.56.
Kin-Buc Landfill
The Kin-Buc Landfill is a 220-acre Superfund site located in Edison, New Jersey where 70 million US gallons of liquid toxic waste and 1 million tons of solid waste were dumped. It was active from the late 1940s to 1976. Cleanup operations have been underway to address environmental issues with contamination from 1980s through to 2000s. This site was one of the largest superfund sites in New Jersey having taken in around 90 million US gallons .
