Palmer is a village in Merrick County, Nebraska, United States. The population was 472 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Grand Island, Nebraska Micropolitan Statistical Area. Palmer was named after Captain Henry E. Palmer of Plattsmouth, Nebraska, a Civil War Veteran.
