Hamilton is a city in and the county seat of Ravalli County, Montana, United States. The population was 4,348 at the 2010 census. Significant outlying population growth is shown in the area; the ZIP Code Tabulation Area for Hamilton's ZIP Code, 59840, had a population of 15,393 at the United States Census Bureau 2009 estimate.
Bitterroot Valley
The Bitterroot Valley is located in southwestern Montana in the northwestern United States. It extends over 100 miles (160 km) from remote Horse Creek Pass north to a point near the city of Missoula. To the west is the Bitterroot Range and the large Selway-Bitterroot Wilderness Area, and to the east is the smaller Sapphire Mountains and the Anaconda-Pintler Wilderness Area.

Hamilton High School is located in the Bitterroot Valley in Hamilton, Montana. Currently, there are approximately 557 students in grades 9-12. Graduating classes are generally around 125 students. The school mascot is the Bronc. Hamilton High School stands as one of the nicest high schools in the state of Montana after having been rebuilt in the year 2000.
