The neighborhood of Gary begins as one enters under the railroad bridge on Commonwealth Avenue and ends at Gary Builders Supply.

Oliver Bridge

The Oliver Bridge was constructed across the St. Louis River in 1916 by the Interstate Transfer Railway Company, a Wisconsin corporation, under special federal authorization from the 60th United States Congress (Session I, Chapter 31, February 20, 1908). It connects Gary - New Duluth, part of the City of Duluth, Minnesota with Oliver, Wisconsin across the St. Louis River. The bridge is 1,900 feet long and is principally of steel truss construction.
