Watertown Square (MBTA station)

Watertown Square in Watertown, Massachusetts is the termination point of the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority's route 71 trackless trolley and the 59 bus. Buses 70 and 70A pass through Watertown Square, and stop on Main Street on the north side of the bus loop. Watertown Square is known for the route 71, with an exclusive connection to Harvard. On Sundays, trackless trolleys are replaced with standard diesel buses. Watertown Square is located directly in the city's center.

Browne House

The Abraham Browne House (built circa 1694-1701) is a colonial house located at 562 Main Street, Watertown, Massachusetts, USA. It is now a nonprofit museum operated by Historic New England and open to the public two afternoons per year. The house was originally a modest one-over-one dwelling, probably with a minor dependency to one side. It has grown by a series of enlargements but they occurred behind the original block, thus preserving the profile of the one-over-one elevation.

Watertown Yard (MBTA station)

Watertown Yard (also known as Watertown Carhouse) is located across the Charles River from Watertown Square and was formerly the terminus of the Green Line "A" Branch. It was used to store and service streetcars even well after the replacement of the Green Line "A" Branch by bus route 57, and even for a few years after the removal of the tracks on this route. (Despite the 1994-6 removal of A Branch tracks, the carhouse is still fully tracked).

The Watertown Dam spans the Charles River 980 feet upstream from the Watertown Bridge near Watertown Square in Watertown, Massachusetts. The dam is located where the Charles River tidal estuary historically ended (the tides no longer reach this point because of the downstream Charles River Dam). Watertown Dam is of earthen construction, a gravity dam. Its length is 220 feet . Its capacity is 30 acre feet . Normal storage is 20 acre feet . It drains an area of 0.2 square miles .
