Middlesex Canal
The Middlesex Canal was a 27-mile (44-kilometre) barge canal connecting the Merrimack River with the port of Boston. When operational it was 30 feet (9.1 m) wide, and 3 feet (0.9 m) deep, with 20 locks, each 80 feet (24 m) long and between 10 and 11 feet (3.0 and 3.4 m) wide. It also had 8 aqueducts. The canal was one of the first civil engineering projects of its type in the United States, and was studied by engineers working on other major canal projects such as the Erie Canal.
Pawtucket Canal
Completed in 1796, the Pawtucket Canal was originally built as a transportation canal to circumvent the Pawtucket Falls of the Merrimack River in East Chelmsford, Massachusetts. In the early 1820s it became a major component of the Lowell power canal system. with the founding of the textile industry at what became Lowell. The Pawtucket Falls are a mile long series of falls and rapids over which the Merrimack River drops 32 feet.
Cawley Memorial Stadium
Cawley Memorial Stadium is a 6,000 seat multipurpose stadium in Lowell, Massachusetts. The stadium is primarily used for football, soccer and lacrosse. The stadium is the home field for Lowell High School teams, and the Lowell Nor'easter of the NEFL. During the summer of 2006 the playing field was replaced with Field Turf. The Major League Lacrosse's Boston Cannons used it for a few seasons as their home field. The stadium was constructed in 1937 as a WPA project.

Stoklosa Alumni Field
Stoklosa Alumni Field is a baseball field in Lowell, Massachusetts, USA. It was rebuilt in 1996 as a temporary home of the Lowell Spinners. The Spinners played at the field for the 1996 and 1997 seasons before moving to Edward A. LeLacheur Park on UMass Lowell's east campus. The field was also home to the Lowell All-Americans of the New England Collegiate Baseball League between 2000 and 2010. Following the 2010 season, the franchise moved to Old Orchard Beach, Maine.

Saints Medical Center
Saints Medical Center is a hospital, located at One Hospital Drive in Lowell, Massachusetts. The hospital was created out of a 1992 merger of two of the three hospitals in the city, St. Joseph's Hospital founded in 1839 and St. John's Hospital founded in 1867. The name changed to "Saints Medical Center" in 2006. In 2010 The Hospital was renamed from Saints Memorial Medical Center to Saints Medical Center.
