Mount Holyoke College
Mount Holyoke College is a liberal arts college for women in South Hadley, Massachusetts, United States. It was the first member of the Seven Sisters colleges, and served as a model for some of the others. Mount Holyoke is part of the Pioneer Valley's Five College Consortium, along with Amherst College, Smith College, Hampshire College, and the University of Massachusetts Amherst. The school was originally founded in 1837 by Mary Lyon as Mount Holyoke Female Seminary.

WMHC
WMHC is a radio station licensed to serve South Hadley, Massachusetts. The station is owned by Mount Holyoke College and licensed to the Trustees of Mount Holyoke College. It airs a College radio format. The station claims to be one of the oldest broadcasting facilities in the United States completely run by women. The station was re-assigned the WMHC call letters by the Federal Communications Commission on August 9, 1999, after having been deleted from the FCC database on April 30, 1999.

Post Attack Command and Control System Facility, Hadley is a defunct Post-Attack Command and Control System facility that operated from the June 2, 1958 until 1970. It is located under The Notch on Bare Mountain in Hadley, Massachusetts. The facility was known by many different names: 8th Air Force Combat Operations Center (COC), "The Notch", and "Westover Communications Annex" since it was related to nearby Westover Air Force Base.

Round Mountain, 780 feet above sea level, was a peak of the Holyoke Range of traprock mountains located in the Connecticut River Valley of Massachusetts, and part of the greater Metacomet Ridge that stretches from Long Island Sound to nearly the Vermont border. Round Mountain was located mostly within Granby but some land was within the towns of Amherst and South Hadley, Massachusetts.
Mount Hitchcock
Mount Hitchcock is a mountain located in South Hadley and Hadley, Massachusetts. It reaches 1,002 feet (305 m) at its peak in South Hadley. The Metacomet-Monadnock Trail runs through it as it does for all the Holyoke Range. To the west is Seven Sisters and Mount Holyoke. To its east is Bare Mountain. Mount Hitchcock is the second highest peak in South Hadley with Bare Mountain being the highest by 8 feet. On the immediate northern shoulder of Hitchcock lies the highest point in Hadley.
