Franklin County, Massachusetts
Franklin County is a nongovernmental county located in the U.S. state of Massachusetts. As of the 2010 census, the population was 71,372. Its largest community, and traditional county seat, is Greenfield. Franklin County is part of the Springfield Metropolitan Statistical Area. Franklin County was created on 24 June 1811 from the northern third of Hampshire County.
Greenfield Center School

Greenfield Center School is an independent day school for students in kindergarten through eighth grade, located in Greenfield, Massachusetts. It has a population of about 140 children, and was founded in 1981. The Greenfield Center School, was founded by the Northeast Foundation for Children. The School and the Foundation developed the Responsive Classroom educational method.
General Pierce Bridge
The General Pierce Bridge is a steel truss road bridge over the Connecticut River between Greenfield, Massachusetts and Montague, Massachusetts carrying Montague City Road. It is currently being scheduled for major repairs. After the Gill - Montague Bridge upstream is refurbished, the state will perform further work on this structure.
Canalside Rail Trail Bridge
The Canalside Rail Trail Bridge (also known as the New York, New Haven and Hartford Railroad Bridge) is a former New York, New Haven and Hartford Railroad (Turner Falls Branch) rail bridge across the Connecticut River between Deerfield and Montague, Massachusetts. The bridge is on the Massachusetts Historic Bridge Inventory as a "Historic Metal Truss Bridge", currently the sixth oldest metal truss bridge on the state-wide historic registry.
Canalside Rail Trail
The Canalside Rail Trail is a 3.8-mile trail, partially on old railroad beds, from East Deerfield, Massachusetts, to Turners Falls, town of Montague, Massachusetts. A short portion of the trail runs along town streets, but the majority is on a paved trail from which motor vehicles are prohibited. The northern terminus is Unity Park, on Barton's Cove, in Turners Falls. The trail was completed in Spring 2008.
Poet's Seat Tower
Poet's Seat Tower is a 1912 sandstone observation tower, located in Greenfield, Massachusetts. It was so named to honor a long tradition of poets being drawn to the spot, in particular, the local poet Frederick Goddard Tuckerman. By 1850, the location was referred to as "Poet's Seat" by Tuckerman in a surviving herbarium entry for November 10th of that year. An earlier wooden tower was erected at the site on June 3, 1879.
Sacred Heart Parish, Greenfield
Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish was a parish of the Roman Catholic Church designated for Polish immigrants in Greenfield, Massachusetts. Founded 1914, it was one of the Polish-American Roman Catholic parishes in New England in the Diocese of Springfield in Massachusetts. The diocese closed the parish in 2009.
John W. Olver Transit Center
The John W. Olver Transit Center is Franklin Regional Transit Authority's hub in Greenfield, Massachusetts. Named after the long-time western Massachusetts congressman it is the first zero net energy transit center in the United States. Built with American Recovery and Reinvestment Act funds, the facility was constructed with solar panels, geothermal wells, copper heat screens and other energy efficient technologies.
