Provincetown (CDP), Massachusetts
Provincetown (CDP) is a census-designated place (CDP) in the town of Provincetown in Barnstable County, Massachusetts, United States. The population was 3,192 at the 2000 census.
Provincetown Harbor
Provincetown Harbor is a large natural harbor located in the town of Provincetown, Massachusetts. The harbor is mostly 30 to 90 feet (to m) deep and stretches roughly 1 mile from northwest to southeast and 2 miles from northeast to southwest – one large, deep basin with no dredged channel necessary for boats to enter and exit. A tall green buoy east of Long Point (i.e. , the tip of Cape Cod) marks the entrance to Provincetown Harbor from Cape Cod Bay.
North Truro, Massachusetts
North Truro is a village in the town of Truro, Massachusetts, United States. Due to its proximity to urbanized Provincetown, it is somewhat more densely developed than the rest of the town, with houses and small resort facilities lining the two main thoroughfares, U.S. Route 6 and MA Route 6A. It is home to Truro Vineyards, one of two operating wineries (the other is in Falmouth) on Cape Cod.
WOMR
WOMR is a public broadcasting community radio station based in Provincetown, Massachusetts. Its callsign stands for "OuterMost Radio". It went into operation in 1982 at 91.9 FM, switching to 92.1 in 1995 to gain a power boost from one kilowatt to six and allowing it to reach as far away as Plymouth. In 2010, WOMR began to broadcast up the Cape from a repeater in Brewster, which goes under the call letters WFMR (furthermost radio), found at 91.3 on the FM dial.
Atlantic House
The Atlantic House (often called the A-House, even in its own advertisements) in Provincetown, Massachusetts is a drinking establishment that has been in continual operation on the tip of Cape Cod for over two centuries. Having been an openly gay-friendly establishment for half a century and discreetly so for perhaps twice that long, the Atlantic House is an excellent contender for the oldest gay bar in the United States. Frommer's calls it "the nation's premier gay bar".

The Fine Arts Work Center is a non-profit enterprise devoted to encouraging the growth and development of emerging visual artists and writers through residency programs, to the propagation of aesthetic values and experience, and to the restoration of the year-round vitality of the historic art colony of Provincetown, Massachusetts. The Work Center was founded in 1968 by a group of American artists and writers to support promising individuals in the early stages of their creative careers.
Provincetown Train Station
The Provincetown Train Station was located on Bradford Street (formerly Back Street) between Alden and Standish Streets in Provincetown, Massachusetts. The first scheduled train arrived in Provincetown on July 23rd, 1873 to much fanfare. It was reported that when the first train with dignitaries arrived old cannons boomed out salutes, church bells were rung and a brass band helped the crowd march up to the Pavilion on High Pole Hill.
Provincetown High School
Provincetown High School is a defunct public high school located in Provincetown, Massachusetts. The school serves 8 students in grade 12. There are no students enrolled in grades 9, 10, or 11 because in 2010, the school committee decided to phase out the students in Provincetown HS due to the declining enrollment and at the end of the 2013 academic year, Provincetown HS will close its doors for good. The students who live in Provincetown will be re-districted to Nauset Regional High School.
