Wheaton, Maryland
Wheaton is an unincorporated, urbanized area in Montgomery County, Maryland, USA, north of Washington, D.C. , northwest of Silver Spring. Wheaton takes its name from Frank Wheaton (1833–1903), a career officer in the United States Army and volunteer from Rhode Island in the Union Army who rose to the rank of major-general while serving before, during, and after the American Civil War. Wheaton's boundaries are not officially defined.

Glenmont (WMATA station)
Glenmont is a Washington Metro station in Montgomery County, Maryland on the Red Line. This is the northeastern terminus of the Red Line. Glenmont is the only station on the Red Line to feature the six-coffer arch design. The six-coffer design is also seen on the Green Line. Until 2006, Glenmont was also the only station in the system lit with sodium lamps, which gave the station a warm orange glow.

The signal is relayed on WWFD on 820 kHz in Frederick, Maryland. Brookside Gardens (500 acres) are public gardens located within Wheaton Regional Park, at 1800 Glenallan Avenue, Silver Spring, Maryland. The gardens themselves are open daily without charge. However, certain annual events there are held that may charge a nominal fee. Major features of the garden are as follows: Aquatic Garden – water-loving plants with two ponds and gazebo. Azalea Garden – over 300 varieties of azaleas represented by 2,000 plants.

It is located in the unincorporated Wheaton/Glenmont section of Silver Spring, about 5 miles north of Washington, D.C.. The high school is a part of the Montgomery County Public School system and a member of its Downcounty Consortium.
Anchor Inn (Wheaton, Maryland)
The Anchor Inn was a landmark restaurant opened in 1954 in the heart of Wheaton, Maryland located at the corner of University Boulevard West and Georgia Avenue. The restaurant was closed in 2004 and in May 2006 the restaurant was torn down to make way for a residential and retail mixed-use development.
Wheaton Youth Center
The Wheaton Youth Center, also known as the Wheaton Community Recreation Center, is a building located on Georgia Avenue in Wheaton, Maryland. The space is operated by the Montgomery County Department of Recreation. The Wheaton Youth Center opened in December 1963 and for the following decade was one of the premiere locations for the emerging suburban Maryland concert scene. Concerts at the Wheaton Youth Center were held in the gymnasium, which was located across from the Wheaton Library.
