Jessup, Maryland
Jessup (pronounced JESS-up) is an unincorporated town and census-designated place in Howard County, Maryland and Anne Arundel County, Maryland. The population was 7,865 at the 2000 census. The center of population of Maryland is located in Jessup. It was the location of Maryland House of Correction, which was one of the Maryland Department of Corrections prison complexes until it closed in 2007.
National Cryptologic Museum
The National Cryptologic Museum (NCM) is an American museum of cryptologic history that is affiliated with the National Security Agency (NSA). The first public museum in the U.S. Intelligence Community, NCM is located in the former Colony Seven Motel, just two blocks from the NSA headquarters at Fort George G. Meade, Maryland. The museum opened to the public on December 16, 1993, and now hosts about 50,000 visitors annually from all over the world.
Maryland House of Correction
The Maryland House of Correction, nicknamed "The Cut" or "The House", was a Maryland Department of Corrections state maximum security prison in an unincorporated area in Maryland. Most of its territory was in Anne Arundel County, while portions were in Howard County. The prison opened in 1879 and became infamous for the high levels of violence that took place inside its walls. The state, under Governor Martin O'Malley, closed the prison in March 2007.
Savage (MARC station)
Savage is a passenger rail station on the MARC Camden Line between Washington, DC and Baltimore's Camden Station. It is officially located at 9009 Dorsey Run Road in Savage, Maryland, however Dorsey Run Road runs over the railroad tracks as well as Brock Bridge Road, which runs along the south side of the tracks and is a street-level with the station.

The United States National Vigilance Park (NVP) is a memorial to the military servicemen who participated in aerial reconnaissance during the Cold War. Dedicated on September 2, 1997, NVP is located just one block from the NSA headquarters at Fort George G. Meade, Maryland. It is open 24 hours a day for viewing. Military events connected with the Intelligence Community and/or personnel stationed at Ft.

Clifton T. Perkins Hospital Center (CTPHC) is a 220-bed psychiatric hospital in Jessup, Maryland. The center is operated by the Maryland Mental Hygiene Administration within the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. CTPHC is a Maximum Security facility and nearly all of its patients are involved in the legal system in some manner. The facility is commonly referred to as Maryland’s maximum security forensic psychiatric hospital.
