Port Deposit, Maryland
Port Deposit is a town in Cecil County, Maryland, United States. It is located on the north bank of the Susquehanna River near its discharge into the Chesapeake Bay. The population was 653 at the 2010 census.
Port Deposit Bridge
The Port Deposit Bridge (also known as the Susquehanna River Bridge or Rock Run Toll Bridge) was the earliest bridge crossing of the Susquehanna River below Columbia, Pennsylvania, providing the first reliable link between the northern and southern United States. The bridge was also the fifth and last of Theodore Burr's Susquehanna crossings. The wooden covered bridge was constructed just north of Port Deposit, Maryland, between 1817 and 1818 and lasted until 1857.

It was active from 1942 to 1976. The training center occupied the former campus of the Tome School for boys. Its was ideally located in the militarized U.S.

The Steppingstone Museum is a non-profit educational and cultural institution that focuses on the commercial and cultural aspects of United States rural life in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. It is located near the Susquehanna River in Harford County, just northwest of Havre de Grace, Maryland. Today's museum is based on the private collection of J. Edmund Bull, who amassed 7,000 tools and artifacts.
USS Commodore (401B)
USS Commodore (401B), also known as R.T.S. Commodore, was a landlocked "dummy" training ship of the United States Navy. Built to resemble a small escort ship, she was built at the United States Naval Training Center, Bainbridge in Maryland. She was equipped with operational guns and equipment, except for an engine, to allow for the training of sailors in shipboard operations in a reasonably safe environment during the Second World War and the early Cold War era.
