Baring Plantation is a plantation in Washington County, Maine, United States. The population was 251 at the 2010 census. The plantation is named for Alexander Baring, 1st Baron Ashburton, the British negotiator of the Webster–Ashburton Treaty which ended the Aroostook War in 1838-1839.

It should not be confused with two other border crossings between St. Stephen and Calais: Ferry Point International Bridge approximately 3.2 km downstream. International Avenue Bridge approximately 1 km upstream.

The Milltown Dam is a hydroelectric dam built on the St. Croix River between St. Stephen, New Brunswick, Canada and Calais, Maine, USA, and operated by NB Power corporation. Its power house has a capacity of 4 megawatts with its 7 turbines. It is the oldest hydroelectric dam in Canada.

International Avenue Bridge
