West Pointe à la Hache, Louisiana
West Pointe à la Hache is an unincorporated community in Plaquemines Parish, Louisiana, United States, on the west bank of the Mississippi River. It lies across the river from Pointe à la Hache, to which it is linked by the Pointe à la Hache Ferry. Woodland Plantation, the plantation depicted on the label of Southern Comfort since the 1930s, is an antebellum mansion in the town, and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The Port of Plaquemines is one of the largest seaports in the United States. It is located at the mouth of the Mississippi River on the Gulf of Mexico, near Belle Chasse in Plaquemines Parish, Louisiana, about twenty miles south of New Orleans. The Plaquemines Port, Harbor & Terminal District is coextensive with Plaquemines Parish, and was created in 1954 by the legislature of Louisiana as a state agency. It is governed by a committee of the Plaquemines Parish Council, acting as the Port Board.
Bohemia, Louisiana
Bohemia is a small community located in the delta of the Mississippi River in the Parish of Plaquemines, Louisiana. The unincorporated community was affected in 2005 by Hurricane Katrina. Before Katrina made landfall, the community had a population of about 200 people, but the hurricane left only 25 homes standing. Bohemia is only 7 feet in elevation above sea level. New Orleans is about 51 miles from this community.
