The Biedenharm Museum was built in 1913 as a private home by Joseph Augustus Biedenharn (December 13, 1866-October 9, 1952), who is credited with first bottling the popular soda fountain drink Coca-Cola in the summer of 1894.

KWMS-LP was founded in 2001 as an independent station operated by First Baptist Church in West Monroe, LA. The station's flagship programs are services from First Baptist Church and sporting events from West Monroe High School.
