Bridge City is an unincorporated community in Jefferson Parish, Louisiana, United States. It was established in the 1930s during the construction of the Huey P. Long Bridge over the Mississippi River. The town is located on the West Bank of the river. It is part of the New Orleans–Metairie–Kenner Metropolitan Statistical Area. It is also a census-designated place (CDP). The population was 8,323 at the 2000 census.

Audubon Zoo
The Audubon Zoo is a zoo located in New Orleans, Louisiana. It is part of the Audubon Nature Institute which also manages the Aquarium of the Americas. The zoo covers 58 acres and is home to 2,000 animals. It is located in a section of Audubon Park in Uptown New Orleans, on the Mississippi River side of Magazine Street. The zoo and park are named in honor of artist and naturalist John James Audubon who lived in New Orleans starting in 1821.

The park is approximately six miles to the west of the city center of New Orleans and sits on land that was purchased by the city in 1871. It is bordered on one side by the Mississippi River and on the other by St. Charles Avenue, directly across from Tulane University and Loyola University.

Krewe of Muses
The Krewe of Muses, named after the Muses, is an all-female krewe or New Orleans Mardi Gras social organization. The Muses were founded in 2000 by Staci Rosenberg, and first paraded during Mardi Gras in 2001. Since then, their krewe has grown to include approximately 1100 members. The krewe's parade is held on the Thursday evening before Mardi Gras, and features 25 floats designed by Blaine Kern Studios.
West Riverside, New Orleans
West Riverside is a neighborhood of the city of New Orleans. A subdistrict of the Uptown/Carrollton Area, its boundaries as defined by the City Planning Commission are: Magazine Street to the north, Napoleon Avenue to the east, the Mississippi River to the south and Exposition, Tchoupitoulas and Webster Streets to the west. This has not traditionally been a separate neighborhood as most of this area has been considered part of Uptown New Orleans throughout most of its history.
