Timberlane is a census-designated place (CDP) in Jefferson Parish, Louisiana, United States. The population was 11,405 at the 2000 census. It is part of the New Orleans–Metairie–Kenner Metropolitan Statistical Area.
Terrytown, Louisiana
Terrytown is a census-designated place (CDP) in Jefferson Parish, Louisiana on the West Bank of the Mississippi River. It is a suburb within the New Orleans–Metairie–Kenner Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 25,430 at the 2000 census. Terrytown was founded on March 5, 1960, by subdivision developer, Paul Kapelow, who named the town after his first daughter, Terry Kapelow. Terrytown includes Oakwood Center, a major shopping mall on the West Bank of Greater New Orleans.

Helen Cox High School
Helen Cox High School is a high school located in Harvey, in unincorporated area Jefferson Parish, Louisiana, United States. The school is a part of the Jefferson Parish Public Schools system. The school primarily serves the Harvey and Gretna areas of Jefferson Parish. The school's mascot is "Charlie" the Cougar (felis concolor), and the school colors are Scarlet (Red) and (Vegas) Gold. Helen Cox's namesake was the first principal of the Gretna Public High School.
Judge Perez Bridge
The Judge Perez Bridge is a lift bridge in the US state of Louisiana which carries northbound Louisiana Highway 23 over the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway between Belle Chasse and Terrytown. The bridge is paired with the Belle Chasse Tunnel which carries southbound LA 23. Construction began in March 1967, and the bridge opened for traffic in September 1968. The bridge was built to relieve traffic from the Belle Chasse Tunnel.

Belle Chasse Tunnel
The Belle Chasse Tunnel was built starting in March 1954 to accommodate the new branch of the Intracoastal Canal. After nearly two years of construction, the $2,436,000 structure opened in February 1956 with the Canal beginning operations later that year. The politicians in Plaquemines Parish chose to construct a tunnel as opposed to a lift bridge as to enable continuous flow of traffic.
