McNeese State University
McNeese State University is a public university located in Lake Charles, Louisiana, in the United States. Founded in 1939 as a junior college, McNeese experienced growth due to economic activity in the region. It adopted its present name in 1970. McNeese is part of the University of Louisiana System and is classified by the Carnegie Foundation as a Master's University. U.S. News and World Report designates McNeese as a Tier One Regional University.
Cowboy Stadium
Cowboy Stadium is a 17,410-seat multi-purpose stadium in Lake Charles, Louisiana. It is home to the McNeese State Cowboys football team, and is affectionately referred to as "The Hole". It was transformed for the 2008 season to artificial turf. A new state of the art field house is currently being constructed. It will be nearly double its current size, and will include climate-controlled seating and a club room.

Burton Coliseum is a 6,500-seat multi-purpose arena, with 2,000 in temporary seating in Lake Charles, Louisiana. It was built in 1976 and is home to the McNeese State University Cowboys basketball team. It hosted the Southland Conference men's basketball tournament in 2002. The arena has 24,000 square feet of space with an additional 160,000 square feet of space at the Livestock and Exhibit Building, with 50,000 more square feet of space at the 1,000-seat Burton Agricultural Arena.

McNeese Arena, also known as Ralph O. Ward Gymnasium, is a 5,000 seat multi-purpose arena in Lake Charles, Louisiana. It was home to the McNeese State University Cowboys basketball team until the Burton Coliseum opened in 1976. It is named after Ralph O. Ward, who was head coach of the basketball team from 1952 to 1971.

Lake Charles Air Force Station is a closed United States Air Force General Surveillance Radar station. It is located 3.8 miles southeast of Lake Charles, Louisiana. It was closed in 1995 by the Air Force, and turned over to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Today the site is part of the Joint Surveillance System (JSS), designated by NORAD as Eastern Air Defense Sector (EADS) Ground Equipment Facility J-14.

Opened in 1965, the venue has a capacity of 2,000 spectators. Its record attendance came one May 2, 2000, when 2,191 spectators saw McNeese State defeat LSU 9-8 in 11 innings. The facility was renovated in 2005, 2007, and 2008.
